in berlin i was a bit nervous cause 20min to 10pm there was one lady willing to race. within the next ongoing minutes one by one arrived and i was very happy when there were 8 racers equaling the amount of checkpoint marshalls!
After a rainy day we were lucky cause it stopped when it got dark. Temperatures didn’t sink at all and we had an even warmer night then last years GlobalGutz in October. Can’t believe it: 16°C (61°F) would have been so perfect, but the roads were still wet. Some say there would have been more racers on dry surface but this is the lucky number or blind chance every city has to deal with.
We had well organised marshalls, huge 1 square meter checkpoint signs and a racecourse letting you turn right only. Starting at Main Station leading directly out of the city centre clockwise around Tegel Airport.
